Homeless Outreach

We operate a homeless outreach service that aims to offer assistance to the people that are sleeping rough in the area.

Many people that are sleeping rough, especially those who are outside of Gloucester, are not aware of, don't know how to or are unable to access the services they are entitled to.

The GEAR Projects' outreach worker can meet the homeless person in their own surroundings, discuss their needs with them and offer them help that we can provide. Also, if necessary, refer them to other organisations that can help.

Rough sleepers often do not fit any stereotypical box so do not get picked up by the wide range of services they often need. GEAR Projects' Homeless Outreach specialises in assisting and advocating on behalf of people who are sleeping rough or squatting and therefore strive to have a greater understanding of their particular needs.
