Client working in the garden

A hugely successful project which began in December 2003, thanks to funding which was made available from CLIP.

Several clients worked alongside project workers to transform the 'waste ground' into a garden area whcih grows vegetables, flowers, shrubs and has a memorial area for 'friends' who have died.

This has been a life saver for many. This is not an exaggeration, it has offered and continues to do so, a safe, therapeutic environment in which people have toiled and have seen the fruits of their labours transform not only the garden, but their own lives too.

Others who have watched the transformation from the side lines have started to make changes to their lifestyles inspired by others. It truly has taken on it's own life, one that no-one could have envisaged when it first began.

The garden was dedicated as a memorial garden by the Bishop of Gloucester. It is a haven of rememberance for many.
