Clients at the day centre

The Vaughan Centre, 159 Southgate Street, Gloucester is a One Stop Shop for homeless and vulnerably housed people.

It was oficially opened by Joanna Trollope in January 2003. It averages 80 people per day.

It offers a 'multi-agency' approach to homelessness and other associated issues. It can also 'signpost' people towards mainstream services.

It is a useful point of reference towards identifying problems which exist amongst the homeless but in the main remain hidden from the rest of society.

It challenges discrimination amongst a marginalized group in society

It is used as a meeting place for groups and offers an 'holistic' approach to problems.

The Vaughan Centre is recognised by voluntary and statutory groups alike as a unique and essential service to Gloucester and it's surrounding areas, from which other services can springboard from. Crucially it exists to help people sustain positive changes with their lifestyles.
